Taylor Intellectual LLC was founded in 2011, from an unincorporated sole proprietorship formed in 2010.  Taylor Intellectual was founded by James W. Taylor II after gaining highly valuable experience in patents for the USPTO, in the legal sector, and for private companies prosecuting, searching, and classifying patents and patent applications.

At Taylor Intellectual, our businesses is:
  • patent searching,
  • patent prosecution, and
  • patent portfolio management.

Our goal is to find creative and successful techniques to help you reach your patent-related goals at the best possible price. Many firms offer quality with little consideration to your budget. Others may provide cost savings but reduce the time and energy dedicated to your patent project.  Our business model is built to:
  • use creative and non-standard techniques control pricing to offer a truly attractive price for all of our services while maintaining profitability and quality,
  • effectively communicate with clients so clients are always aware the status of their intellectual property at every step of the process,
  • separate business decisions from legal decision so that our clients have control of their portfolio's business without being burdened by every minor legal decision,
  • develop and maintain a transparent product pipeline so clients can see where their money is going any why the expenditure is necessary and/or desirable, and
  • reduce time frames for responses to office actions to maximize throughput and get enforceable patents as quickly as possible.

We take both the quality of our work and your budget very seriously. We subscribe to the “3 hours of thinking can save 3 weeks of work” mentality. For example, by diligently searching and researching new ideas as early in the patent process as possible – well before precious resources have been devoted to patent application drafting – we have a much better understanding of the prior art, potential rejections, and the claims which will most likely succeed. Our technique provides a solid foundation for successful patent prosecution on a budget that provides considerable savings to you.
